Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold USA Appoints New Vice President of Sales

Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold have announced the appointment of a new vice president of sales, Kristina Miranda.

Miranda has been promoted from her previous role as director of national and key accounts. One of her main responsibilities as director of national and key accounts was to grow and develop Insight and Luxury Gold’s new preferred relationship with Virtuoso.

“We are very excited to promote Kristina to the role of vice president. She brings a stellar reputation in the industry in the premium and luxury travel space,” said Jon Grutzner, president of Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold USA. 

Prior to her role at Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold, Kristina spent five and a half years at AmaWaterways as director of national accounts. And before that, she was group specialist/account manager and a river cruise specialist.

In her new role, Kristina will manage all aspects of national accounts for Insight Vacations and Luxury Gold. She will continue to manage business strategies, grow relationships, inspire the sales team, and develop new business.

 “She possesses both strong analytical skills and a friendly personality that will serve her well in this leadership role,” said Grutzner. “We believe both our travel partners and sales team will benefit having her in the elevated role.”

Director, Business Development



TRAVELSAVERS is looking for a Director, Business Development to join a well-established team whose focus is on growing its network of affiliates across Canada.


The Director, Business Development should be an experienced sales leader, with proven closing skills, a strategic acumen and customer centric mindset.  The ideal candidate will have existing relationships with high profile travel agencies and an established network of contacts within the travel agency community.



  • Develop strategic plan to grow network across Canada
  • Drive new business through prospecting and pitching to travel agencies not currently part of the network
  • Identify strategic partnership opportunities
  • Conduct online and face to face meetings
  • Identify opportunities for in person agency headquarter engagement opportunities


This role has significant growth opportunity with complete ownership of your pipeline.  This is a role for someone who wants to be empowered to generate their own leads, and is excited at the prospect of owning the key agency relationships for our network.



  • Minimum 5 years sales experience
  • Experience working with travel agencies, preferably in a sales capacity
  • Excellent phone and face to face presentation skills
  • Detailed understanding of sales cycle and proven closing capabilities
  • Ability to travel throughout Canada
