MGM Resorts Names Bill Hornbuckle President and CEO

by Jessica Montevago / July 30, 2020
MGM Resorts Names Bill Hornbuckle President and CEO

MGM Resorts Chief Executive Officer and President Bill Hornbuckle

MGM Resorts International named Bill Hornbuckle chief executive and president, effective immediately. He has been serving the company as acting CEO and president since March 2020, after former Chairman and CEO Jim Murren stepped down earlier this year.

Hornbuckle was previously chief marketing officer of MGM Resorts International from 2009 until 2012. Prior to that, he held executive positions at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, MGM Resorts International-Europe, MGM Grand Las Vegas, and Caesars Palace, Las Vegas. A majority of his career was with Mirage Resorts in various senior management positions.

Hornbuckle was also appointed to serve on the company's Board of Directors.

All of MGM's Las Vegas properties have reopened, following the company’s seven-point health protocol, although some venues and amenities may not be available.
