Five New Beachfront Resorts Advisors Should Know

Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski

Now’s the time to begin planning winter getaways. And where could it be better to escape to than one of these new luxury properties opening in idyllic beach locations? Here’s a line-up of resorts to consider booking.

Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski Dominica, Dominica (opening Oct. 14)
Dominica will welcome its first five-star property when Cabrits Resort & Spa Kempinski opens this fall. Surrounded by Cabrits National Park, the 151-room resort boasts panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea and the protected tropical forest. Luxury amenities include an 8,000-square-foot spa, two floodlit tennis courts, four hot- and cold-water pools, and meeting space for executive retreats and intimate weddings. Four restaurants and bars offer both local and international cuisine, as well as “farm-to-table” and “sea-to-table” dining.

Each property will have access to the sprawling beachfront infinity pool, with a lazy river and waterslides on the Hyatt Ziva side, a wide range of dining options, and the 40,000-square-foot fitness center.

Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Mexico (opening Oct. 15)
Nestled along a stretch of oceanfront, with panoramic views of the Sea of Cortez, Zadu´n combines natural beauty with casual luxury. Each of the 115 guest rooms and suites offer a private plunge pool and terrace, within 42 two-story villas placed gently along the natural slopes of the land. The resort’s dining options include a Latin American grill; a Mexican-street-food experience; an adults-only outlet offering fresh ceviche and catch-of-the day fare; and an agave bar serving handcrafted cocktails. Guests of Zadu´n will also have direct access to the sprawling Puerto Los Cabos Golf Course, adjacent to the hotel; and Spa Alkemia. It will be the fourth property in the luxury Ritz-Carlton Reserve portfolio.
